THE ORIGINAL WATER AND EARTH / 8'28'' / 2008

Ramón Casanova, Jorge Egea, Mapi Rivera
Camera and edition: Ramon Guimaraes

A female figure emerges from the water to climb an arid landscape of clay. Then her gestures dig into an opening in the ground where she is collected in a large telluric womb. This matrix camera is at the same time a dark chamber, whose pinhole allows the only incision of light in its interior and allows us to glimpse the transformation of being. A new body, revealed, passes through this opening, opening the earth for rebirth.
